'Daredevil' Release Date, Cast News: Six Supporting Cast Members Revealed Ahead of April 10 Premiere on Netflix
Marvel's "Daredevil," a new superhero crime action TV series, will premiere on April 10 on Netflix. With the premiere barely a month away, Marvel announced six new supporting cast members. They are:
Rob Morgan from "Person of Interest" will play small time Hell's Kitchen crook Turk Barrett.
Matt Gerald from "Avatar" will play Melvin Potter, described by Marvel as, "a machinist caught between a rock and hard place."
Peter Shinkoda of "Falling Skies" plays Nobu, a Japanese businessman who, while on the side of Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, has "an agenda all his own."
Wai Ching Ho from "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" will play the powerful Madame Gao, who runs "her won trade."
Nikolai Nikolaeff from "Sea Patrol," and Gideon Emery from "Grimm" play Russian brothers, Vladimir and Anatoly, who want to make names for themselves in the U.S.
"Daredevil" is developed for Netflix by Drew Goddard based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, a blind lawyer by day and a crime fighter by night.
The main cast of the series would be the following:
"True Blood's" Deborah Ann Woll will play Karen Page.
Elden Henson will play Foggy Nelson, Murdock's close friend and law partner.
Rosario Dawson will play Claire Temple, a nurse who works the nightshift and helps Murdock.
Vincent D'Onofrio will play Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, the main antagonist, a powerful businessman who has plans for Hell's Kitchen.
Ayelet Zurer will play Vanessa Marianna, an art gallery employee and William Fisk's love interest.
Bob Gunton will play Leland Owlsley, a key person in Fisk's plans for Hell's Kitchen.
Toby Leonard Moore will play Wesley, Fisk's right hand man.
Vondie Curtis-Hall will play Ben Urich, an investigative journalist for the New York Bulletin.
Scott Glen will play the recurring role of Stick, a mysterious martial arts expert and Murdock's mentor.
