Denver Broncos trade rumors 2016: Broncos' QB dilemma to be addressed
Heading into the new season as the Super Bowl champions, the Denver Broncos are looking to defend the title without Peyton Manning as their quarterback.
Now talks on who would take Manning's place as the number one quarterback have been on everyone's mind, knowing that that person would have big shoes to fill.
Reports reveal that veteran quarterback Mark Sanchez is the best man to fulfil the job. According to a Twitter post shared by NFL writer Tom Pelissero, Broncos nose tackle Sylvester Williams even admitted that Sanchez is the top QB by default.
Pro Football Rumors suggests Sanchez will get the nod as he has the most experience in the roster of the Broncos, while quickly reminding fans that the 29-year-old has not been successful when put under the spotlight.
In a report by Adam Schein, he believes that while Sanchez is going to be given the top spot for the Broncos, rookie Paxton Lynch should also be given a chance to win the spot.
The rookie may be raw, but his frame of 6-foot-7 and 244 pounds means that he can take some punishment and can see the offence through the offensive line.
Furthermore, Chris Harris Jr told reporters in an interview that Lynch has made a great impression on the team so far, and even went as far as praising the kid who performed better than former Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler.
"[Lynch] had better touch on his ball -- more, actually, I think, than Brock had when he first came into the league -- that's one thing I can see that is gonna definitely help him," he said. "And he's more mobile. He can run and he can do a little bit more moving in the pocket than what Brock could, too."
It will be interesting to see how things play out in Denver and how the change in the quarterback can impact the team as a whole.
