Denver Broncos trade rumors: Broncos eyeing Romo pick-up

After nine weeks in the National Football League, the Denver Broncos are struggling to make it to the top half of the AFC West.

At the moment, they rank third with a 6-3 record, lagging behind the resurging Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.

Last year, they had Peyton Manning as their undoubted leader, but things are different now that they have the young quarterback Trevor Siemian leading the way. Currently, the Broncos are still looking for the right chemistry as they struggle in numbers to help them get back and defend their title.

They're ranked low in various statistics: 25^{th in passing yards, 23rd in rushing and 28th in total yards per game.}

Now, it seems that the team is looking for a change and they are starting with the quarterback position. Their proposed target is Dallas Cowboys' Tony Romo.

An undoubted veteran, Romo is currently making his way back to fitness after an injury sidelined him for the first half of the season.

However, the Cowboys have more than flourished in Romo's absence, with the leadership of rookie quarterback Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys are 7-1 at the moment, leading the NFC East and are games ahead of their rivals the New York Giants.

Prescott's performances have raised questions as to whether there is still a need for Romo to come back to the team. After all, messing with their current chemistry may be the team's downfall.

With that, it is possible that the talk to send Romo elsewhere may happen.

Romo commands a large amount of money and if the Cowboys can get that, then they will have a chance to get a few more up-and-coming players.

For the Broncos, it will be a great thing as they will have a veteran quarterback who can possibly save their season and help them defend their Super Bowl title.
