'Destiny House of Wolves' Expansion Pack Brings 'Prison of Elders' Treasure Room

The second expansion pack for "Destiny" titled "House of Wolves" arrived on Wednesday after details about it were teased for weeks.

Contrary to earlier expectations, the expansion pack did not feature a raid but instead brought a new area for players to explore and fight in. The place is called "Prison of Elders," which has a room filled with treasure at the end.

Players get access to the room at the 28th mode upwards. But to open the purple treasure box in the room, a treasure key is required. In "Prison of Elders" one key is earned after defeating the final boss after which a hatch can be opened to access the treasure room. Here there are three chests present. Inside the two smaller chests, players can find Strange Coins, motes of light and ammo synth.

To access the biggest box, players need to use the treasure key. Here they will find exotic weapons such as the SUROS Regime assault rifle. Weapons earned in this box vary. At the very least, players can expect to find a legendary weapon such as the "Wolves Bane" Machine Gun when they open the box using their treasure key.

If players are able to beat the final boss in "House of Wolves" twice in a week, they will not get access to another treasure key as only one can be earned per week. Instead, they can use any treasure keys in their inventory when they enter the treasure room.

Treasure keys can also be earned by completing the Queen Bounties round. After the final boss in each of these bounty missions is dealt with, the players will have to locate an Ether Chest in the vicinity before time runs out. Some of the Ether Chests have treasure keys.

With a treasure key in hand, players can visit the treasure room and open the first box. which will set off a timer. After which they will have to open the chests and grab all the loot and weapons before time runs out.

If players earn something in the treasure room that they do not really want, they can always trade it to Varkis in the Reef.
