'Deus Ex Mankind Divided' PS4, Xbox One Release Date Latest News: Ghost Mode Means You Can Finish Game Without Killing Foes
Gamers are raving about the "ghost" mode on "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" using which they can go through the game unseen.
Eidos Montreal, the studio developing the upcoming "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" game, is reportedly planning to improve on the ghost mode and allow players to finish the game without killing anyone.
This "no-kill" option is rare compared to other games that are ultra-violent like "Mortal Kombat X," which relies on characters being able to tear their competitors to bits.
News of the improved ghost mode in "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" came via the Twitter account of Jean-François Dugas, the director of the game. Dugas said the new game would be fully "ghostable as always and even on boss side, finally!"
In the previous game, "Deus Ex: Human Revolution," players also got the ghost mode and could proceed through the entire game without being seen. But when it came to boss encounters, they had to violently fight them off. Thus during boss battles, the ghost mode was rendered useless.
It later emerged that Eidos Montreal had outsourced the design and creation of the boss battles to another company, and this had led to them being different.
The "ghosting" problem was fixed in the Missing Link DLC for "Deus Ex: Human Revolution." Now, players could use the mode successfully even during boss battles.
Eidos Montreal has apparently learnt a lesson from this and plans to make the upcoming game entirely "ghostable." At the same time, it will also offer the full guns blazing option.
Other news about "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" indicates that it will have a super hard mode. Gamers can turn it on by using the "Give Me Deus Ex" option.
As for the story of the upcoming game, it will continue with the rescue of Adam Jensen after he discovers the truth about augmented humans and blows up the center in the Arctic which drove them insane.
As announced last week, "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" is currently being developed for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC but has no release date yet.
