"Dishonored 2" is scheduled to have a new update next week, and players will soon have new ways of murdering the people of Karnaca and Dunwall.

According to reports, the update would be made accessible in just a few days, and it would pave the way for some really interesting crossover abilities. Set to arrive on Monday, Dec. 19, the next expansion introduces the much-awaited New Game Plus mode. It enables players to use Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin's skills in just a single playthrough. Prior to the game's release, Arkane Studios co-director, Harvey Smith, described Emily as a fighter with "a little more finesse than Corvo does," while Corvo possesses distinctive capabilities, including a "very classic Possession, Rat Swarm" and "Blink."

The game previously asked players to pick between the two characters who have unique fighting abilities. The latest update will be made available for PC, PlayStation 4, and PC, but a beta version is already available for players on PC.

"Unlocked once you complete the game as either Emily or Corvo, New Game Plus lets you begin anew as either character with access to each hero's full suite of abilities plus all the Bonecharm Traits and Runes collected from your previous playthrough that you can re-assign to choose the powers you want," Bethesda said in a press release.

As noted by Polygon, custom difficulty settings will also be added in the game. It was initially set to arrive in December, but the launch has been pushed back to January, wherein it will be included in the second update. In addition, the said patch will introduce the ability to choose missions and replay them. This feature was included in the first "Dishonored" game, but it is still not available in this year's sequel.

Developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, "Dishonored 2" is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows PC.
