'DOOM: Bloodfall' DLC update: new Demon Spectre Pink included; Double XP weekend play offered

The latest multiplayer expansion of "DOOM," titled Bloodfall, is set to arrive in the coming days. The downloadable content (DLC) offers the powerful Grenada Launcher, aside from new maps and lots of new features in which players will spend hours feeling the tension in the game.

One of the most talked-about features of "DOOM: Bloodfall" is the three new maps called Boneyard, Outbreak and Empyrian. Boneyard takes the players on the outskirts of Hell, where they will be submerged in a surrounding that is made up of different Demon pieces. Outbreak, on the other hand, is set in a converted UAC facility brought about by the domination of an underworld science. Last, but definitely not the least, is the Empyrian, which is situated in a deteriorating colosseum.

The release of the new update comes with a generous offer of Double XP weekend. The event is currently on and will end on Dec. 19, in which all the features can be experienced by the players. Bethesda also invites all players to see if they can reach the Echelon 11, Level 50 so that they can get the "DOOM" Marine Armor.

Gamespresso wrote that players will be able to see death in a different light with the addition of the Grenade Launcher, a banned weapon of UAC. The deathly weapon comes with two settings, which is the smoke grenade to help the players with their attack and the bouncing grenade to cause severe damage to enemies.

A new Demon called Spectre Pink is also included in the "DOOM: Bloodfall." The new Demon is capable of engaging the enemy while being invisible. It also has a Bull-Rush move that creates a fatal wrath to its patch. Other features include new customization options and Hack modules, among others.

"DOOM: Bloodfall" is currently available for PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PC. It is priced at $14.00 or can be acquired by purchasing the Season Pass.
