'Dragon Ball Fusions' release date: Online features update coming early 2017
"Dragon Ball Fusions" just arrived, but Bandai Namco Entertainment has more up its sleeve with the online update for the game getting a release date.
The developer has announced that players will be able to access the online features of the title beginning early next year.
When "Dragon Ball Fusions" was released in Japan, Bandai Namco took a month to release said features to the game. It appears that it will be much longer for the version that arrived in North America.
The online features update will bring in the online battles in addition to an online special moves trading function. New characters, fusions and a lot of cool stuff will also be included.
A specific release date for the "Dragon Ball Fusions" online features update is yet to be announced by Bandai Namco but the studio should provide more details in the weeks or months to come.
The official description of "Dragon Ball Fusions" is as follows:
"Dragon Ball Fusions is the latest Dragon Ball experience for Nintendo 3DS! It's an RPG action game that combines fighting, customization, and collection elements to bring Dragon Ball to the next level. In this new world, players will discover powerful items, find warriors who can become their allies, and build teams to bring into battle to see who the best fighters are."
In "Dragon Ball Fusions," players can fuse the strongest fighters to create one super-character, create an avatar and fly through the "Dragon Ball" universe.
The gameplay is described as a "Rock-Scissors-Paper" RPG system, which will get deeper and richer as players progress into the story.
Another fun thing to do in "Dragon Ball Fusions" is the ability of players to take pictures with friends and fuse into a Dragon Ball character.
"Dragon Ball Fusions" is already available on the Nintendo 3DS. It was released on Nov. 22.
