The mystery of Black Goku's real identity has just gotten bigger with the previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super." In Episode 57, Son Goku and Future Trunks confronted Black Goku to end the latter's evil schemes for the human race. Surprisingly, Zamasu of the future timeline emerged from the sky, revealing himself to be in cahoots with Black Goku all along.

As recapped by Yibada, Zamasu revealed that he made a deal with Black to finish Son Goku. This surprised many fans, not only regarding the alliance of Zamasu and Black Goku, but also because Zamasu could not possibly be Black Goku himself. At first, many believed that Zamasu and Black Goku are the same person due to their similar ki and fighting style. However, with Episode 57's recent revelation, this theory can now be debunked.

Future Trunks and Goku fought the villainous duo with all of their strength, but the two easily outpowered them. Most of all, the protagonists were unable to defeat Zamasu as he now became totally immortal, with the damage dealt by Future Trunks to his body healing very quickly. Goku and Future Trunks were almost killed by Zamasu and Black Goku, but thanks to Vegeta and Mai, they were all able to escape to the present timeline.

According to the spoilers provided by University Herald, "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 58 will show the aftermath of the intense battle among Vegeta, Future Trunks, Son Goku, Zamasu and Black Goku. Beerus will be contacting them regarding the outcome of their confrontation with Black Goku in the future. Meanwhile, the secret behind Zamasu's immortality may be revealed next episode, as there are rumors that the Super Dragon Balls may have something to do with it. In the preview, Zamasu was shown calling the Mystical Dragon of the Gods, and his wish will be revealed tomorrow in the new episode of "Dragon Ball Super."
