'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 61 air date, spoilers, rumors: Black Goku and Zamasu are the same person; Zamasu proceeds with his plan against humans

The previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super" has shocked many fans as Black Goku finally revealed the secret behind his shady and mysterious identity. At first, the Z fighters thought that Black Goku existed due to Zamasu using the Super Dragon Balls to create an evil version of Son Goku. Much to everyone's surprise, Black Goku claims that his body and Son Goku's are actually one and the same, but their identities are not. Moreover, he revealed that he used the Super Dragon Balls to make him and the real Goku switch bodies.

As recapped by Yibada, Black Goku went on to say that he is actually Zamasu. This might be a bit confusing for the viewers as the previous episodes showed Black Goku and Zamasu teaming up as different individuals. With Black Goku's revelation, this explains why Beerus and Whis detected the ki of Zamasu in the former. As Episode 60 ended with more questions to be answered, the upcoming episode on October 9 will further clear things up.

According to the latest rumors, Zamasu wanted Goku's special Saiyan powers so he made the wish to switch bodies with him. Goku, being in Zamasu's other body, was already killed. As for the existence of two Zamasu's in the same future timeline, perhaps it was made possible due to Zamasu's Time Ring that allows the user to travel back and forth through time. It is likely that the Zamasu on Future Trunks' timeline is actually from another alternate period.

Whatever the real answer could be, it is pretty clear that Zamasu is hell-bent on eradicating all humans in the universe. Episode 60 will see Zamasu, Black Goku, Son Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks in another intense battle. According to the latest spoilers, Zamasu may use the Time Ring once again to call on his own self from different timelines. Together, they will gang up against Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks. Likewise, Zamasu and Black Goku are expected to begin with their ultimate plan to kill all the mortal beings.
