'Dragon Ball Super' episode 66, 67, 68 spoilers news update: Is victory or death coming for Goku and crew?

Could "Dragon Ball Super" be setting its fans up for a tragic death? This seems to be the brunt of the speculations going around after the title of the upcoming 67th episode was revealed.

Facebook user Gojitaaf, who generously shares English translations of Dragon Ball-related news and announcements in Japanese publications, posted a screenshot of a magazine page that reveals "Farewell, Trunks" as the title of the popular Japanese anime's 67th episode. Could this be referring to Future Trunks' impending demise, or simply an end to the ongoing arc?

In one of the previous episodes of "Dragon Ball Super," Black Goku came to a realization that a human's strength came from a place of anger, which could be triggered by losing someone they hold dear. Could Merged Zamasu finally succeed in taking out someone important to both Vegeta and Son Goku, and could this be the unfortunate trigger for the Saiyans to finally bring Zamasu down once and for all?

On a more positive side, other fans are speculating that the title could simply be a reference to Goku and his crew bidding farewell to the future timeline as they prepare to go back  to the present.

The upcoming episode 66 titled "Showdown! The Unyielding Warrior's Miraculous Power" has confirmed the much anticipated appearance of Vegito, the merged form of Vegeta and Son Goku. The official preview shows an all-out battle of strength and explosive powers as the two sets of merged warriors bring out their finishing moves. Who will eventually succeed?

Episode 67's title seems to bring both positive and negative hints about the battle's outcome. Will Trunks really die? Or will Vegito finally be able to defeat Zamasu and go back home?

There are still no details leaked about episodes 68 and 69 aside from their air dates and production crews.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 66 airs on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV. Episode 67 thru 69 are scheduled to air on the subsequent Sundays.
