'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 66, 67 recap, spoilers, rumors: Future Trunks to make important sacrifice?

The upcoming episode of "Dragon Ball Super" is rumored to show the end of Zamasu's reign of terror. To recall, both the future and present version of himself merged into an all-powerful Supreme Kai, putting everyone else in the world in danger. The power of the so-called Fusion Zamasu is unparalleled even with the combined efforts of Son Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue form. 

In "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 66, both Vegeta and Goku realized that the current power level that they have is no match to Zamasu's. Another fact making matters worse is the immortality of Fusion Zamasu, meaning that no other physical attack can ever kill him or even create a permanent scratch to his body. As recapped by Attack of the Fanboy, the only hope for everyone is for Goku and Vegeta to merge into Vegito, which they did. Using the Potara earrings of Gowasu, Vegeta and Goku merged into a Super Saiyan God Vegito.

Vegito now has a chance to overpower Fusion Zamasu, although the powerful villain is not going to make everything easier for the ultimate Saiyan warrior. Vegito gave his all to finally end Zamasu's reign of terror. In this fight, it was also noticeable that Zamasu's fusion form is starting to mutate into a fearsome appearance. Unfortunately, Vegito used up too much energy that the duration of the fusion ended in less than an hour. Thanks to Future Trunks, Zamasu incurred a severe damage by being slashed in half.

iTech Post reported that Future Trunks might be in some trouble next episode. Episode 67's title pertains to Future Trunk's farewell, so some fans speculate that he may meet his end. However, there is also a possibility that the next episode will finally see the end of Zamasu, meaning that Future Trunks and the alternate future will have to say goodbye to Goku and the rest of the Z fighters.
