'Dragon Ball Super' episode 73, 74 spoilers: next episodes will focus on Gohan
"Dragon Ball Super" is back after taking a little break for the holidays. The filler episodes continue this Sunday with episode 73. Titled "Gohan's Disaster! Great Saiyaman's Unbelievable Movie Adaptation?!," the episode will feature Son Gohan donning the cape of the Great Saiyaman once again.
Actually, this time he won't be going around beating up criminals while they look on in confusion due to his pointless fight poses. Gohan is putting on the Great Saiyaman outfit because he's going to be a stuntman on the set of a movie about the Great Saiyaman and Mr. Satan. With his father-in-law around, Gohan shouldn't be the silliest character in this episode.
Meanwhile, sources say Gohan will also be the focus of the following episode. Titled "For Those He Loves! The Indomitable Great Saiyaman!!," "Dragon Ball Super" episode 74 will feature Gohan fighting a mental parasite called Watagash.
Okay, what is a mental parasite anyway? Well, Todd Blankenship aka @Herms98 has once again come through for his followers as he shared the translated episode summary.
"The vile criminal Watagash commits evil on Earth! Gohan hears that Earth has been infiltrated by the mental parasite Watagash, who infects the darkness in his host's heart, giving them superhuman power. Meanwhile, Barry Karn hates Gohan and tries to catch him with a honeypot trap, but fails. Watagash then appears and infects him."
It's about time they shine the spotlight on Gohan. He was a very important character in "Dragon Ball Z," but so far, he has taken a back seat in "Dragon Ball Super" while the series keeps its focus on Son Goku and Vegeta. Now, it's time for him to get some action.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 will air on Jan. 8, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV. Episode 74 will air a week later on Jan. 15.
