'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' latest news and update: free patch update to be released before the paid DLC
Bandai Namco just revealed the new details about the next downloadable content (DLC) for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" through a new trailer.
The trailer for the upcoming expansion of the role-playing fighting game revealed that the game developer will release a new patch update for free before they bring the first DLC to the public. According to the description from the latest trailer, "In preparation for the DLC 1 releasing on Dec. 20, SSGSS Goku's Kaioken x10 and Hit's Awakened Form, Pure Progress, will be available for free on PS4 & Xbox one on Dec. 15."
Other expected contents of the free patch update include the Expert Missions on the game's map, improved loot drop system, as well as the Match Makers to allow pairing up of players even if they do not possess the same fighting skills. However, the game developer has yet to confirm if any of these expected contents can be seen once the free update goes live.
The schedule for the patch update for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be set on the same day, but there are no details yet regarding the update schedule for Steam. However, the game developer is expected to make the announcement for those who are playing the game on PC in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the paid DLC will start to include Cabbe and Frost as the latest member of the playable characters in the game. It will also include three new parallel quest and additional costumes and attacks.
The upcoming DLC will also introduce an event titled Frieza's Siege, in which players will be assigned to protect the Conton City from the Army of Frieza. If they managed to succeed in their quest, they will be given 10 Jersey costumes as their reward.
A second paid DLC for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is also expected to arrive soon.
