'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' to come out in Nintendo Switch; second DLC expected in February

Future Nintendo Switch players will be able to play "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," Bandai Namco confirmed.

The game publisher announced that the fighting role-playing game that first came out on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 2016 will also have a Nintendo Switch edition after the Japanese gaming company released its latest gaming platform system.

The announcement came after the Nintendo Switch live event in Tokyo on Friday, Jan. 13. According to the press release that was posted on Siliconera, "Nintendo Switch players can also look forward to sharing their Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 experience through local co-op gameplay, enabling players to share their Dragon Ball adventure with friends."

However, Bandai Namco has yet to reveal the release date of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" on Nintendo Switch. But the new two-in-one game console from Nintendo is slated to be shipped in the market by March 3.

Meanwhile, new reports claimed that the second downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will be released in Feb. 2017.

According to YouTube user Ventus SGN, the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump revealed that the second DLC pack for the fighting game will come out two months after the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" DB Super Pack 1 DLC came out in Dec. 2016 with Cabbe and Frost.

Another report from Shonen Games also posted a scanned copy of the magazine, which claimed that the God of Destruction Champa and his follower named Vados will be featured in the upcoming DLC. It also showed that Whis' signature attack known as the Symphony of Destruction will also be seen in in the next DLC.

The scanned copy also mentioned that the second DLC pack will introduce a brand-new teachers' tool which will reportedly reveal new techniques in the game.

The game publisher is expected to make an announcement about the next "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" in the coming days.
