'Fairy Tail' chapter 502 spoilers news: Mavis escapes; Dimaria takes Natsu and Lucy captive

In "Fairy Tail" chapter 502 titled, "Mavis and Zera," one significant member of the Fairy Tail guild has re-awakened, while another one may just lose himself to his inevitable fate.

With the help of her powerful Illusion Magic, Mavis Vermilion, co-founder of the Fairy Tail guild, has finally escaped captivity just when Spriggan 12's Irene Belserion was about to succeed in extracting the Fairy Heart from her.

The Fairy Heart is a very powerful source of magic that seems to have a polarized reputation. On the one hand, Ivan Dreyar believes that the Fairy Heart represents Fairy Tail guild's darkness, whereas former guild master Mavis believes that Fairy Heart is actually the guild's light. It has since been revealed that Mavis' human body is the Fairy Heart itself and the Alvarez Empire will stop at nothing to harness its infinite powers for their own cause.

Mavis got help from Mest Gryder, who readily volunteered to take her back to her guild, but Zeref had also sent Irene out in pursuit of her with specific instructions not to injure her in any way.

Meanwhile, most of the Fairy Tail guild members have already reunited thanks to Zera's efforts. She has been revealed to be nothing more than an illusion created by Mavis' subconscious; and now that the former Fairy Tail guild master has awakened, Zera has subsequently vanished back into Mavis' memories.

But while Mavis' reunion with her crew hints on an upcoming revelation of the beginnings of the Fairy Tail guild and their eventual return to their home, Lucy and Natsu are still not safe. Continued from the previous chapter, Dimaria has taken them captive after striking down her closest ally, Brandish, for her presumed betrayal of the Spriggan 12 and the entire Alvarez Empire.

She had previously vowed to make Lucy's death "slow and painful" for the latter's presumed role in Brandish's change of heart. The final frame hinted on Dimaria possibly killing Natsu in front of Lucy as her way of torturing the Celestial mage in the worst possible way.

On the other hand, Fairy Tail's apothecary consultant Porlyusica, who previously diagnosed Natsu's tumor as the rare and highly lethal anti-ethernano type, specifically sought out Brandish. The latter apparently survived Dimaria's attack to inform her about the true nature of Natsu's tumor.

"I'm afraid it is something far worse," the elderly woman said.

According to Yibada, "Fairy Tail" chapter 503 may just see the beginnings of Natsu's transformation into the formidable Etherious Natsu Dragneel (E.N.D.) and that Dimaria may just be the one to experience the first fatal blow of Natsu's true strength.

Meanwhile, The Bitbag speculated that Gray's possible arrival may just save the day.
