'Fallout 4' DLC release date rumors 2016: Can players expect more 'Fallout 4' content packs after 'Nuka World?'
Even though Bethesda has already confirmed that "Nuka World" will be the last DLC pack for the highly popular action role-playing game (ARPG) "Fallout 4." However, the rumors are rife that there will be more content packs coming up after the sixth DLC, leaving a lot of fans surprised upon its release
As reported by iDigital Times, a very mysterious Steam DB page was the source of all the post-"Nuka World" DLC rumors. The said page was updated a few days ago, and a listing in the page can be read as "Steam DB Unknown App." The online publication noted that this kind of Steam listing usually signals the arrival of a new downloadable content pack for a particular video game. In the case of "Fallout 4," this appears to be an impending DLC release.
However, Bethesda's vice president for marketing and public relations, Pete Hines, was quick to dispell the current rumors surrounding the Steam page. As he revealed in a recent tweet, Hines emphasized that "Nuka World" will be the last DLC pack released by Bethesda for "Fallout 4."
There are a number of possible reasons behind the mysterious Steam listing for "Fallout 4." One of the theories points to a Game of the Year Edition coming up for the video. If "Nuka World" is indeed the very last content pack for "Fallout 4," then it is probably the right timing to work on a special Game of the Year edition that will include all the expansion packs of the game title. To recall, Bethesda has also released a Game of the Year edition for "Fallout 3."
Nevertheless, the rumor about the next content pack for "Fallout 4" has not died down just yet. It is even speculated that the next DLC for the game might feature virtual reality (VR) integration, allowing the game to support the latest VR headsets like the HTC Vive.
Still, it is better to wait for Bethesda's official announcement and avoid giving too much credence to early speculative reports.
