Fallout 4 latest news, update: should Bethesda reply with a spoof of CNN after the network's mistake?
Bethesda quickly released strong statements following CNN's use of the game's footage to report about a Russian hacking activity. A glimpse of "Fallout 4" was shown by CNN last month to report about President Donald Trump's opinion about his connection with "Significant Malicious Cyber-Enabled Activities."
Bethesda vice president Pete Hines immediately responded to the issue on his Twitter account. He wrote, "Wait till they discover FO4 players were actually helping Russians and cracking real security through that mini game."
The studio also shared a screenshot of "Fallout 4" report with a caption, "Sneak Peek at Season 3 of Mr Robot."
The CNN clip was first seen by a Reddit user and shared it online. Since then, "Fallout 4" fans, as well as the public, has been checking the video out and sharing different sorts of comments about the news network and the game.
Redditor bluedrygrass commented, "At first i [thought] it was a parody, but then they kept going at it and it was a serious movie.... just why, the cringe is too much."
In an article by Forbes, "Fallout" gives a good example of the actual world and the possibility of nuclear war. And since there is an ongoing news about Russia being a nuclear antagonist, a World War 3 is said to be a possibility.
However, the publication's Erik Kain said that Bethesda can make a hilarious, timely response to it by making a spoof of CNN as well.
"Fallout 4" remains to be one of the most popular games right now. Bethesda is currently gearing up for the latest update, which will bring the title to PlayStation 4 (PS4) Pro. The update has no release date yet, but is slated to come out during the upcoming console's launch.
"PS4 Players can expect PS4 Pro support in our next title update for Fallout 4," says the studio.
