The sudden death of "Fast and Furious" actor Paul Walker shocked the cast and crew of the franchise, but with CGI and Walker's brother, they somehow managed to push through with the film. Since there is going to be another installment in the film series, fans aren't sure how and what the franchise will do with his character, Brian O'Conner.

Recent reports suggest that the "Fast and Furious 8" film will once again employ CGI technology to bring O'Conner to life. Though the previous installment showed a memorable farewell for the late actor, his character might still have a prominent role in the sequel.

The upcoming film will be directed by F. Gary Gray. The star-studded cast of the film includes Vin Diesel as Dom Toretto, Ludacris as Tej Parker, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz and Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce.

Aside from the main cast members, Ronda Rousey and Sean Boswell are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel as Kara and Lucas Black. Other recurring members include Eva Mendes, who portrays Agent Monica Fuentes, Dwayne Johnson as Hobbs, and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw.

In the upcoming film, two new antagonists will be making things hard for the team. "Fast and Furious 8" will feature Helen Mirren, who will reportedly portray Deckard's mom. The film will finally have a good amount of girl power. A dangerous gang of antagonists will be comprised of Ruby Rose, Cara Delevigne and Charlize Theron. Charlize will portray a Hannibal Lecter-like villain. Kristofer Hivju, who portrays Tormund in "Game of Thrones," will serve as Charlize's henchman in "Fast and Furious 8."

Viewers can catch the eighth installment of the "Fast and Furious" series when it premieres worldwide on April 14, 2017.
