'Final Fantasy 15' update news: self-photographing feature revealed
New details about the upcoming "Final Fantasy 15" update had been laid out by Square Enix.
Gematsu translated the post from the game developer's Japanese website, detailing the contents of the upcoming update.
One of the most significant contents that will be included in the upcoming update is the new "Self-Photographing Feature" that will allow players to take their own photos outside the heat of the battle.
Square Enix have yet to reveal more details about how players can take their own selfies. But they made it clear that the new feature can be used anytime except during the actual battle. They also have yet to make it announce if the players can take the photos using one of the controller's button, or if they can also select filters just like other social media apps.
Aside from the upcoming "Self-Photographing Feature," the paid version of the update called the "Holiday Pack+" will start with the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. It will also add the "Holiday Pack+ Exclusive" photo frames as well as the Noctis-only "Festive Ensemble."
Meanwhile, the free version of the new "Holiday Pack" will also open with the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. It will also include the Noctis-only "Choco-Mog Tee" costume, as well as the free version of the "Holiday Pack Exclusive" photo frames.
The Moogle Chocobo Festival will feature the redesigned look of the city of Altissia, complete with new outfits for the residents. Based on the trailer released by the game developer, the city appears like it was prepared for the festival.
The upcoming update is expected to be one of the planned free updates for the game that was announced by game director Hajime Tabata last year.
"We want you to enjoy Final Fantasy XV for a long time to come. We have been listening to your ideas on how to make the game experience even better, and so in addition to the previously announced content, we'll be providing free updates to the game throughout the coming year," the game developer stated on the Square Enix website.
