'Final Fantasy 7 Remake' 2017 release date: 2017 release date confirmed to be nothing more than a rumor
Enthusiasts of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" are determined to wait even though the title has no release date yet. It seems that they have to wait a little longer, or just ditch the idea that a 2017 release is imminent since the game's brand manager stated that the previously reported release date is just a rumor.
Game brand manager Shinji Hashimoto appeared at the Lucca Comics & Games event in Italy to the fans delight. During the event, he spoke about the future plans of the hit games, including the anticipated "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," Siliconera reported.
However, fans were not exactly joyful of his announcement. He cleared out the speculation that a 2017 release date will be possible with the game and said that "it is just a rumor." The truth is, the company has not decided on the release date yet, but he did say that the team behind the title is working hard.
He then told the fans to practice a little more patience and wait further for the recent developments. Hashimoto revealed that the company is on the verge of making the third installment to one of the most sought-after "Final Fantasy" games, which is "Final Fantasy X." Their plan was rooted in the fact that "Final Fantasy X/X-2" came out successfully.
The only thing that is stopping the planned installment from being started is that the character designer Tetsuya Nomura and game producer Yoshinori Kitase are both having their hand tied with the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," aside from the equally anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 3," Attack of the Fanboy wrote.
Aside from "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," Hashimoto further revealed that there is another "Final Fantasy" remaster coming soon, titled as "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age." As for the "Final Fantasy X-3," the title is confirmed to be in the works soon so a release date should be announced eventually.
