According to reports, Tetsuya Nomura, the game director of "Final Fantasy VII Remake," said that the company will reveal something big anytime soon. According to many fans, Square Enix may announce the release date of the remake. There are speculations suggesting that the new title will come out after the release of "Final Fantasy XV."

Video game director Yoshinori Kitase said in an interview last year that the upcoming remake is going to be a different game with a different storyline compared to the original title. He also added that the new version of "Final Fantasy VII" will be rolled out in several parts.

"The biggest reason why we haven't done a remake until now is because it's a massive undertaking to reconstruct 'Final Fantasy VII' from the ground up with the current technology," Kitase explained. "Producing a proper HD remake of 'Final Fantasy VII' that maintains the same feeling of density of the original would result in a volume of content that couldn't possibly fit into one instalment."

In a statement via the company's official blog, Kitase mentioned that they took the opportunity to think out of the box and go beyond the original story of the game. Early speculations suggested that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will be released as the largest single video game ever. However, Kitase made it clear that the new title will be rolled out in multiple installments.

For now, fans will have to wait for the official announcement from the company regarding its release date.
