The upcoming expansion for "Final Fantasy XIV," which is called "Stormblood," will feature a 24-person raid which will be created by the man responsible for "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Final Fantasy XII." Meanwhile, the game director hints that Blue Mages might be added in the mix of new jobs for "Stormblood."

A second expansion pack has been created for "Final Fantasy XIV" titled "Stormblood," and it is set to be released in June 2017.

One of the biggest features of the upcoming expansion is a new 24-person dungeon raid which will be created by Japanese video game designer, Yasumi Matsuno, according to PC Gamer. Matsuno is known for his involvement in developing "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Final Fantasy XII."

The raid will be titled "Return to Ivalice," and the bosses are said to be designed by "Shin Megami Tensei IV" artist, Keita Amemiya.

According to Technobuffalo, fans of "Final Fantasy" are really excited for "Return to Ivalice" because Ivalice has been one of the most favored location settings for the franchise's games. Aside from "Return to Ivalice," the expansion pack will also feature another eight-person dungeon raid and one-on-one battles with bosses.

Meanwhile, it is possible that Blue Mages may be included in "Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood" after what game director Naoki Yoshida hinted at the "Final Fantasy" Fanfest in Japan this month.

It was announced at the fanfest that the first job is a Red Mage, a hybrid DPS character that is equipped with ranged magic and melee attacks as their primary strengths. Before the addition of Red Mages, Yoshida hinted at the character when he wore a shirt with the Scarlet Witch during a keynote presentation.

At the fanfest, Yoshida wore a Spider-Man shirt, hinting at Blue Mages to be the next job. Blue Mages were connected to Spider-Man because they acquired their powers from monsters, similar to the Marvel superhero's origin story.

"Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood" will be released on June 20, 2017 for the PC and PlayStation 4.
