"Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata wants the highly-successful video game to have a PC version.

In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, an interview with the "Final Fantasy XV" director was published, in which Tabata discussed details about the latest installment of the "Final Fantasy" game franchise. Aside from talking about digital sales, fan satisfaction, cut content, and the upcoming virtual reality content, which was announced at E3 2016, he also mentioned the possibility of creating a PC port for the game.

As translated by Gematsu, Tabata said: "I'd like to release the game on PC as a technical attempt. I want to show PC users Final Fantasy XV running on high-end machines, and we personally would like to see it, too. Also, I would like to try developing on PC to pursue a unique way of playing with PC-exclusive features like making your own quests and enjoying the world using things like mods."

Square has yet to give an official announcement that a PC version of "Final Fantasy XV" is currently in the works. In the past, however, there have been "Final Fantasy" games which were later given a PC port. For example, "Final Fantasy XII," "Final Fantasy IX," and "Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn" are all currently available on Steam.

For now, gaming fans can expect many new things to arrive for "Final Fantasy XV," especially since several DLC expansion updates have been announced to be released this year.

The soonest DLC update set to arrive is the Booster Pack, which will land on Feb. 21. This will be followed by the Episode Gladio expansion, scheduled for release on March 28, in which gamers get to play as Gladio himself.

The Prompto Episode expansion will be the next update to come out, scheduled to arrive sometime in June. An Ignis chapter is also confirmed to be in the works, but it has no official release date yet.

Another DLC expansion pack, called Comrades, will add a four-player co-op mode which features all four of the game's main characters. However, Square Enix has yet to set a launch date for this add-on.

"Final Fantasy XV" is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
