'Flip or Flop' El Moussa divorce news: Tarek shares major health update; Christina continues to avoid ex-husband?

"Flip or Flop" star Tarek El Moussa remains positive despite his highly-publicized split with co-star/ex-wife Christina.

The HGTV personality was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer back in 2013. In an Instagram post, he happily revealed that he's still cancer-free after three years of diagnosis. He shared a screengrab of a text exchange between him and his doctor, giving him the good news.

"Still #cancer#free!!!!" Tarek wrote in the caption. "Having cancer is a very scary thing... I always get nervous going into each checkup, and today I got GREAT news!! Having no thyroid and balancing medications is tough! I'm finally at UCLA and I'm on the right doses of medication," he added.

The news comes a few weeks after Tarek filed for divorce from his wife, Christina. The estranged couple, who was together for nearly seven years and has two kids, announced they had already separated in December. Despite their split, the duo continued to host HGTV's home remodeling show, "Flip or Flop."

On the series, Christina and Tarek are known to argue over everything from home decorations to budgets. However, a source claims that things are the complete opposite when the camera is not on because the estranged exes hardly speak to each other. "The mood differs day to day, but Christina avoids Tarek," an insider close to the two told Us Weekly. The source added that Tarek does things to get on Christina's nerves, like bragging about having relationships with other girls.

It was previously reported that the real estate agent dated the El Moussa family's former nanny, 23-year-old Alyssa Logan. The source confirmed that the alleged relationship between the two is true, and Tarek used to spoil her with trips abroad and a new Jeep. As opposed to Tarek's penny-pinching character on the program, the insider said he spent a lot of money for Logan. "Tarek blows money in order to impress people," the source added. Recent rumors now claim that Tarek has moved on from Logan and is now dating her friend.
