'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers, Plot News: Photos Released Showing Deadly Dorne Sisters Obara, Nymeria and Tyene

"Game of Thrones" fans still have to wait for almost a month to see what their favorite characters have been up to in Westeros.

The good news is that HBO has released the first official photos of the show's old and new characters, giving fans some hints on the show's much-awaited fifth season.

"Game of Thrones" introduces a trio of deadly young woman who come from the same mother but possess the powers of their philandering father, Prince Oberyn Martell, who died in the hands of The Mountain last season.

"Game of Thrones" showrunner David Benioff revealed that he cast actresses of different nationalities for the roles, who all still manage to pass as Dorne sisters Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene.

"It's fun because they're constantly fighting. But it's the kind of family that if an outsider comes in, they all band together and unify," Benioff said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Benioff cast New Zealand actress Keisha Castle-Hughes to play Obara, the eldest of the sisters who is good with the spear, just like her father, Prince Oberyn.

He also took British actress Jessica Henwick to play the bullwhip-wielding Nymeria, and Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, an Italian-American, to play the youngest of the sisters who is good with her double daggers.

Castle-Hughes said the new characters will give "Thrones" fans a breath of fresh air.

"We haven't seen women like this on Game of Thrones before. You have lone wolves like Arya and Brienne, and others like Daenerys or Cersei, who are politically strong surrounded by men," Castle-Hughes explained.

"But you haven't seen women who are strong together and who collaborate, which is a dangerous thing. We're three girls who are violent and manipulative and who are thirsty for Lannister blood," she added.

If you're more interested in old characters like fan favorite Arya, you'll hardly recognize her this year – no more muddier brown tunic and boy-ish haircut!

The youngest female Stark had escaped Westeros, where she was traveling incognito disguised as a peasant boy for the past several seasons. She gets a radical makeover for her new life in Braavos.

Actress Maisie Williams said she loves her new, more feminine look, gushing: "It's very neutral, very plain, but clean! I have clean hair that actually moves," Williams said. "I came onto the set and nobody recognized me."

Williams is one of four "Game of Thrones" actors like Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Kit Harington, who graced the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
