'Game of Thrones' season 7 news: John Bradley thinks ending would dictate the legacy of the show
Fans would assume that the main cast members of "Game of Thrones" probably have some ideas on how the show was going to end. But nothing could be farther from the truth. John Bradley, the actor portraying Samwell Tarly, does not know how the story ends, but he told Digital Spy that he believes the ending would dictate the legacy of the show.
"It's interesting thinking about the end of Game of Thrones. Because we don't know how it ends — we don't know who wins or who loses — we've got no idea what kind of story we're telling. We don't know if it's an indictment of how bad people can triumph if good men do nothing, or a redemptive story about good triumphing over evil. We just don't know, so that mystery has fed in to everything we've done so far," he stated.
Bradley said viewers will see more spectacle in the upcoming season, and he also revealed that there are some sequences that are practically "unfilmable" due to the scale of the scenes. But the cast and crew of the show have always found a way to make it work year after year.
Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" casting director Nina Gold recently spoke with the South China Morning Post about the lack of diversity in the series. She explained that people have to remember that the show was based on the book series written by George R.R. Martin, and he made the characters that way.
Of course, they did change some things for the show. After all, actor Nonso Anozie looks nothing like the Xaro Xhoan Daxos in the books.
In other news, "Game of Thrones" is once again the most pirated TV show this year. The series is the most downloaded show through BitTorrent for five years in a row now.
"Game of Thrones" season 7 is scheduled to premiere sometime in summer 2017 on HBO.
