'Game of Thrones' season 7 spoilers: Alfie Allen talks about Theon Greyjoy and 'more torture'
A ton of "Game of Thrones" season 7 spoilers may have been circulating around the internet in the past few months, but hearing about the upcoming season from someone involved in the show is just so much better.
Watchers on the Wall has reported that Alfie Allen, the actor playing Theon Greyjoy, was at the Malta India Fan Convention last month and he had a few things to say about the upcoming season. According to Allen, season 7 is going to be "more of the same ... but better!" And there are going to be "more dragons" and "more torture!"
Theon would probably shudder at the mere mention of torture. Will he get tortured once again? The character has already gone through so much in the past few seasons while Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) smiled at him with sadistic glee.
So, how is Balon's (Patrick Malahide) sole surviving son doing? Allen revealed that Theon is "skittish and full of fear." "And then that can kind of, I guess, evolve into rage, which you might see ... who knows?" he added.
Sounds like the old Theon is going to resurface a bit. The guy should be tired of feeling afraid by now. So, who going to be responsible for his rage? Is it Euron (Pilou Asbæk) and his Ironborn?
Allen was also asked about how Theon would feel when he sees Jon Snow (Kit Harington) or Sansa (Sophie Turner) again, and he tells the crowd, "You mean IF that happens." Well, the crowd gathered there has probably seen the leaked photos of Theon and Jon's meeting already, so Allen jokingly chides the audience by telling them to stop looking at the internet for spoilers.
However, Allen did answer the question hypothetically. "I would say, [Theon] would feel horrible. He'd feel awful. And he'd see it as a chance to redeem himself," he said.
