'Girl Meets World' season 4 news release date and cancellation: Rowan Blanchard on future of series

As the current season of "Girl Meets World" is ending fast, there is a lot of curiosity as to what the future is like for the show.

Reports state there has yet to be any confirmation on the renewal of the Disney Channel series. Some speculations indicated that there might not be a season four for "Girl Meets World" due to some issues with the cast.

Previously, the star of the series, Rowan Blanchard revealed that she is also unaware of what lies ahead for the show. Despite this, she is hoping to continue the story of Riley and her friends, as they provide a relatable story for Disney Channel viewers.

She said, "We are hoping for a Season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell. But as of right now, we just finished (filming) Season 3 and we're still waiting on the word."

Recently, she also posted a tweet regarding season 4. It read, "Hoping we continue to have that chance #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4."

A lot is unknown about what lies ahead for "Girl Meets World" season 4. In the meantime, many fans are looking towards upcoming episodes of "Girl Meets World" season 3. It was revealed that the new episode will be titled "Girl Meets A Christmas Maya Carol."

The writers of the show also shared some interesting insight about the episodes.

"Next: Maya: (To Riley) Oh spirit of Christmas Future I fear you most of all. Then: World Meets Girl – For our audience. Welcome to the show," said the writers.  

However,  the episode is said to release sometime next month, which means that fans will have to wait a few more weeks.

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 episode 18 will return in December on Disney Channel.
