Golden State Warriors trade rumors 2016: Draymond Green and New Orleans in potential move?
It appears that the rumors surrounding Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors are going even stronger after some reports now claim that one team may be trading in their best asset to land the hard-nosed power forward.
Reports claim that the New Orleans Pelicans are seemingly interested in gaining Green from the Warriors that they are open to sending their star Anthony Davis to Oakland to make that deal possible.
It is also rumored that Green may move from Oakland following a series of unfortunate events outside the court.
Most recently, Green was part of a social media storm after posting a photo that's not safe for work on the social media app SnapChat.
The photo was of Green's private parts and was seen by everyone who followed the All-Star. Green subsequently apologized for the incident and blamed it on an error after he admitted it was supposed to be sent as a private message instead of on a public platform.
Now this appears to put a strain on the Warriors and Green's relationship after it attracted a lot of unwanted attention to the franchise.
And now, the Pelicans are in the picture as they try to revamp their roster in order to regain their spot in the playoffs in the tough Western Conference.
The trade between Green and Davis is quite intriguing as Davis is seen as the better-polished player on both ends, but Green should have the advantage on the intangibles.
Green is also known as the passionate leader of the Warriors and losing him, despite having Davis' abilities, may weaken the franchise's core and chemistry.
It remains as one of the big rumors that are surrounding the NBA at the moment, but Green is currently not available as he is representing the United States in basketball at the Rio Olympics.
Fans should expect more of this news in the coming days, but at the moment, these are all speculations.
