Google Nexus 2016 release date, specs news: To compete with new iPhone later this year?
Many fans are excited for the new Google Nexus 2016 to come out in the market. Tech observers, along with tech freaks are expecting the company to release a new handset with the highly anticipated Android N operating system. Although Google has yet to provide significant details with regard to their new flagship smartphone, fans are already predicting it to come out with the latest specs and features to compete with the new model of the mighty Apple iPhone.
In a report by The Telegraph, Google has already tapped several mobile carriers about their plans to release a new smartphone anytime this year. However, reports have yet to emerge over the internet if the new device will carry a new brand or if it will be a new iteration of the current Nexus line. Whatever their plan is, industry experts believe that the goal of the company is to make sure they create a new product that can directly compete with the upcoming iPhone models.
It is not a surprise that Google lets other manufacturers take care of the hardware of their products. Although Nexus is a brand name owned by Google, all their releases have been produced by other tech companies such as Huawei, LG and Motorola. There are even speculations suggesting that the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 will carry the HTC brand name. However, this has yet to be confirmed by both Google and HTC.
There are reports saying that Google does not really have a control of how manufacturers will produce the hardware. They do not have a say in the specs, features and design of the flagship smartphone. Nonetheless, Google will always take care of the software the device will run with since they basically own the Android operating system.
As of the moment, the company has continued to stay mum about the rumored device. Fans will have to stay tuned and wait for Google to make an official announcement.
