GoPro Hero 5 release date, specs news: Leaked details of next gen action camera emerge online
When rumors about GoPro Hero 5's development and release started to circulate all over the internet, tech fans were hoping to get some concrete details about it. The wait is finally over; new reports have emerged with images and specs of the next gen action camera from GoPro.
The leaked details appear to be realistic that show the new Hero 5 at 62 mm x 44.6 mm x 33.7 mm in size.
The images first appeared on Aug. 18 that is seen with "PVT3" marking, which basically means that the device is current on production validation test 3. This new report definitely signals the upcoming arrival of GoPro Hero 5 in the market anytime soon.

Meanwhile, previous reports from PC Advisor suggested that the new Hero 5 will have a GPS capability and an advanced waterproofing feature. It will also support 8K video recording and is said to arrive along with GoPro's first drone, the Karma.
Although nothing is set in stone yet, the publication added that the new GoPro Hero 5 will probably come out with a $450 to $550 price tag.
An alleged Hero 5 user manual has also emerged on Reddit, which suggests that the camera feature of the device will be the same as the current Hero 4 Black.
Despite the contradicting reports, many fans believe that it is only a matter of time before the company makes an official statement with regard to the Hero 5's release date.
