GoPro Hero 5 is one of the most highly-anticipated action cameras for this year, and if the rumors are to be believed, the wait for the device will be over soon.

The new GoPro Hero camera will reportedly be released on Sept. 19 along with the all-new Karma drone, which is even expected to somehow include support for the GoPro Hero 5.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, Variety stated in an article from Aug. 31 that featured GoPro Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman that the camera will be released "in the coming weeks."

This suggested that the unveiling of the GoPro Hero 5 will be this month. If it will be, it is quite odd that the company is only promoting the Karma drone.

GoPro has mostly been tight-lipped with regards to the much-awaited new camera. Fans have only been hearing about it through leaks in the past.

However, suggested in a press release from July that the GoPro Hero 5 will be out this year and will help the company perform in the fourth quarter of the year.

"Hero 5 and Karma will contribute to the largest introduction of products in our history, all in time for what we believe will be GoPro's most exciting fourth quarter, ever – a quarter where we expect to return to profitability," he stated.

With regards to the specifications of the GoPro Hero 5, it is rumored to come with a touchscreen control, 122 0mAh battery, and Type C-USB port.

Although the device will not be released this month, fans won't have to worry about the camera not being released this year as GoPro has repeatedly said that the product will help boost their holiday vision.

If the GoPro Hero 5 will be released along with the Karma drone, fans can expect the company to tease that in the coming days, unless they want to make it a surprise.
