'Gravity Rush 2' release date, latest news: Free demo version now available on PS4
The free demo version of Sony Interactive Entertainment's video game "Gravity Rush 2" is now available for download.
According to a previous post in PlayStation's official blog, the game's free demo version features two paths. The first path is intended for new players, while the other path is customized for "Gravity Rush" veterans. The game sequel is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, so Vita owners, unfortunately, won't be able to test out the game's free demo version.
According to Mic, "Gravity Rush" is set in an open world in which players take on the character of Kat, a playable game character who possesses the power to manipulate gravity. In the gameplay, this ability is applied by aiming the camera at any surface and pressing a button to shift gravity to the desired direction.
Aside from following the basic storyline and background of the original game, "Gravity Rush 2" also brought back the first "Gravity Rush" game's art style. It also diversified the gravity abilities of the playable character. Even the world has been significantly expanded and is so much larger than it was before.
Aside from the game sequel, Sony also announced that the "Gravity Rush Overture [The Animation]" is scheduled to be made available on Youtube starting on Dec. 26. Produced by famed anime studio Studio Khara, the anime series will fill in the story and take place in the time gap between "Gravity Rush" and "Gravity Rush 2."
The demo version of the "Gravity Rush" sequel has been made available since Thursday, Dec. 22. On the other hand, the full game version of "Gravity Rush 2" will be released next year on Jan. 20. Interested gamers can pre-order the much-awaited game sequel here.
Meanwhile, gamers who are looking to try out more PS4 games during the holiday break can also add the HD remaster of the original "Gravity Rush" to their gaming library.
