"Grey's Anatomy" star Kevin McKidd, who plays Dr. Owen Hunt in the medical drama, has hinted at the possibility of original cast member Sandra Oh returning to reprise her role as Dr. Cristina Yang.

Oh exited the popular ABC series at the end of its 10th season, breaking the hearts of fans all over. In the "Grey's Anatomy" season 10 finale, Cristina left Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to take over Preston Burke's (fellow "Grey's" alum Isaiah Washington) position as the head of his hospital in Zurich, Switzerland.

Despite the fact that the character has been absent in the last two seasons, fans still miss her on-and-off relationship with Owen.

McKidd recently spoke to Digital Spy about the possibility of Oh's return, saying, "I'd love it if she came back, I think she might eventually for fun, for maybe a couple of episodes."

"I don't think she'd come back for anything long term, but who the h—l knows?," he added.

The actor also talked about Oh's reaction to Owen's wedding to Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) in the season 12 finale, saying that the actress pretended to be mad about it.

"She was joking, but she was a bit like, 'You didn't tell me you were getting married!'" he said.

"You left, Sandra!" the actor teased. "She's happy for Owen, really. I think she's happy he married another Canadian actress," McKidd continued.

In other casting news, Deadline reported that Ravi Patel, best known for his work in "Grandfathered," will appear in a guest spot in the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. The actor will play the role of a nurse named Tamir Dahr. He is set to appear in one episode of the 13th season but could return for more.

Meanwhile, in a recent chat with E!, "Grey's Anatomy" actress and executive producer Debbie Allen, who plays Dr. Catherine Avery, teased the season 13 premiere, saying "...[I]t's something that'll knock your socks off, take your breath away, and make you want to keep watching."

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 debuts Thursday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
