Alex (Justin Chambers) is ready to take the plea bargain and go to jail to keep Jo (Camilla Luddington) safe from her husband. Will Jo change Alex's mind?

Previously in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, Jo finally confessed to Alex that she has been married to an abusive husband whom she has been hiding from ever since she left him. Jo confessed to Alex out of fear that her husband might find her when she takes the stand in Alex's trial.

This brought Alex to the decision of taking the judge's plea bargain, to prevent Jo from testifying, and to keep her safe from her abusive husband.

But Alex has not yet talked to the judge about the deal, and there is still hope for another solution to work out. iTechpost reports that Jo might make a move to keep Alex from taking the plea deal.

Jo can testify in court to save Alex's name, but that would mean she risks herself from being found by her husband. Jo will have to decide whether Alex is worth the risk.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility that Jo's husband will appear when "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 returns.

In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Luddington shared that the series isn't looking to cast her character's husband, but she would like to meet him because of his interesting background.

"If he does get introduced at some point, it's interesting that he's a charismatic person that everyone loves. It's a spin on the type of manipulative person he is. Part of me never wants to see him because he is someone who in the past had a lot of power over her but there's another part of me who absolutely wants to meet him," Luddington explained.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 returns with episode 10, titled "You Can Look (But You'd Better Not Touch)," on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
