'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers: Will Jo's husband enter the picture soon?

The secret is out in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 about Jo (Camilla Luddington) being married to an abusive man. The question now is whether they will see each other again after fleeing from him for years.

Jo is facing a big decision that could determine Alex's (Justin Chambers) fate in court. If she testifies, she could save him from doing time in prison, but in the process, will reveal herself to the public, allowing her husband to track her down.

This leads fans to wonder whether or not Jo's husband will soon turn up in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Luddington said that being the "elephant in the room" for a while now, the time has come for fans to meet Jo's husband, even calling his arrival a "thunderstorm on its way."

"I imagine it'll happen at some point. I'm almost wondering if it'll happen more when she's at a point where it's a little more calm because she's in a lot of turmoil about Alex and everything that's happened; it kind of destroys her," the actress said.

"So I think when it gets calm, maybe he'll show up. I feel like he has to because it's Grey's Anatomy and that's what they do; we bring people back from your past who are unexpected," she went on to say.

However, at the moment, the introduction of Jo's husband in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 is not confirmed yet. Whether or not he will turn up soon is up in the air.

Like Luddington said, a perfect and a very "Grey's Anatomy" way of bringing her character's worst nightmare into the fold is during a time Jo thinks that everything has worked out for the best.

There is no word whether or not Jo will testify. Alex would not let her and even Deluca (Giacomo Gianniotti), who has developed romantic feelings for her.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will be back with "You Can Look (But You'd Better Not Touch)" on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
