'GTA 6' features, gameplay, release date news: title to come in 2019 due to 'Red Dead Redemption 2' development

"Grand Theft Auto VI," commonly referred to as "GTA 6," may not come soon. Rockstar Games is currently putting all its efforts to "Red Dead Redemption 2," which is equally anticipated by gamers as well. This sparked news that the release of "GTA 6" will be further moved to 2019.

"Grand Theft Auto" fans may want to practice a little more understanding as Rockstar Games is currently focused on the development of "Red Dead Redemption 2." It seems like "GTA 6" fans are determined to wait for a little longer as the rumored title is still being circulated through different news sites.

One of the most famous rumors is the location of "GTA 6," claiming that it will be situated in Tokyo. If this is true, this will be the first time "Grand Theft Auto" will be coming out from the usual U.S. territory. Others believe that the game will be set in London, England while some believe that the game will still be located in the United States.

Nevertheless, the same high-impact gameplay is expected. No matter where "GTA 6" is located, it will surely feature places that will fit the car-stealing crimes that have become the selling point of the franchise.

Aside from the location, enthusiasts are debating about the possible characters who will grace the rumored title. There are fans who say that an additional character will be introduced in the game and will be voiced by Eva Mendes. If this is true, then this will be the first time that the game will open its doors to female characters.

"GTA 5" was previously criticized for having all-male characters in the game. Rockstar Games may have considered the feedback of the players and decided to come up with a female character. However, all the rumors are still yet to be confirmed and so it should all be taken with a grain a salt.

As for the release date, since Rockstar Games is planning to release "Red Dead Redemptions 2" soon, it is just about right that "GTA 6" may soon be announced to be already in the works. However, the title has to be pushed back to a 2019 release date.
