A new trailer for the upcoming game "Halo 5: Guardians" was screened recently and it showcased more of Spartan Locke as he faces off against the main protagonist Master Chief.

However, there is still no confirmation on whether Locke will be a foe of Master Chief. What was only revealed in the publicity campaign launched for the game is that Master Chief's origins will be questioned.

In the trailer released exclusively by GameStop, Locke is seen using a jetpack in hot pursuit of Master Chief and jumping and flying through the air. Locke had previously appeared on the web series "Halo: Nightfall." In that game, he was played by actor Mike Colter.

Once Locke finds Master Chief, there is no guarantee as to what will happen. Locke's motives in going after Master Chief are also hazy. He said though that he would not "let the Covenant" get in his way.

The latest trailer showed Locke on the trail of Master Chief. In the game, Locke is billed as an "elite manhunter."

The trailer showed one scene taken from two different perspectives. Microsoft said this underscores the diverging accounts pertained to one event in the game. One trailer had Locke injured and Master Chief threatening him while another had Master Chief on the ground and Locke taunting him.

GameStop said it would be giving away the HUNTER-Class Armor and Helmet featured in the trailer to those who pre-order "Halo 5: Guardians." GameStop said these items can be used in the multiplayer component of the upcoming game.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is due to launch on Oct. 27 this year exclusively for the Xbox One.
