'Hawaii Five-0' cast Keo Woolford dies from stroke; police procedural comes back next week for new episode

Sad week for "Hawaii Five-0" production, cast and crew as they lose one of their own in Keo Woolford after the latter recently suffered a severe stroke.

The actor who has a recurring role as Detective James Chang in the tropical police procedural has died Monday afternoon in Oahu, Hawaii — only three days after he had stroke, Woolford's publicist Tracy Larrua confirms. Obviously this predicament had his castmates in "Hawaii Five-0" devastated including Daniel Dae Kim who took it to his official social media to send his love. Writing on his Twitter account, the actor who plays Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly in the series said, "As talented as you were, I will remember you most for your kindness. Thank you for sharing your light with us, @KeoWoolford. Rest In Peace."

Aside from Kim, Woolford's niece, Raeceen Woolford Satele, shares her sentiments in this trying times for her family with a statement sent to People magazine. "I think being related to Keo has been a true honor," she said. "He empowered me to pursue learning more about my Hawaiian culture and affirmed me in everything I did. I am who I am today, due in large part to his constant positivity, grace, and love."

It is still unknown whether the reboot series will address Woolford's sudden death in future episodes.

Meanwhile "Hawaii Five-0" is still on a short hiatus this week, which is why there will be no new episode airing tonight. The squad, however, will be back next week with "The Burden" ("Ka Luhi"), which will have them delving over a cold case. As it turns out, new information emerges after a teen boy suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Order (PTSD) gets hypnotized and realizes that he may have actually witnessed the decade-old murder case.

Elsewhere in the installment Danny's (Scott Caan) sister, Bridget (guest star Missy Peregrym) comes to Oahu for an official trip. However, what is tipped to be a happy reunion turns a different path when the Detective Sergeant suspects that she may be mixing business with pleasure with a co-worker.
