'Hawaii Five-0' season 7 episode 3 spoilers: Five-0 to welcome new member; Kono to meet an old friend
Five-0 just intercepted a terrorist attack in Europe, met the queen, and got to go back home with fancy medals on their chest for their courage and good deed. Back in Hawaii, though, things may not be just as favorable.
The Chess-Piece Killer case remains unsolved, although it did show one significant turning point: the possible involvement of retired FBI profiler, Alicia Brown (Claire Forlani), whose expertise allowed her to provide insights into the serial killer that neither Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) nor Danny Williams (Scott Caan) would have been able to figure out on their own. Although she was reluctant to join the investigations in the previous episode, the next one will see her finally teaming up with Steve's crew in solving this crime.
In episode 3 titled, "He Moho Hou" ("New Player"), Alicia will be forced to retract her earlier statement about being retired when she finds a body in her bed. She will then decide to join the Five-0 Task Force, if only to bring this serial killer down. This is according to the brief episode synopsis provided on TV Guide.
Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) will also be reconnecting with a former surfing competitor who is now a homeless and disabled war veteran. The character will be played by Kanya Sesser, popularly known as the inspiring legless lingerie model who has been defying public preconceptions of beauty. Coming on as a guest on "Hawaii Five-0" and playing a character with such a powerful backstory will allow Sesser to be an inspiration to a wider audience.
Meanwhile, it seems that the Five-0 Task Force will be making huge strides in solving the Chess-Piece Killer case since episode 4 titled, "Hu a'e ke ahi lanakila a Kamaile" ("The Fire of Kamile Rises in Triumph"), will see Steve and Alicia getting kidnapped by the killer himself after they have finally managed to unmask him.
An extended preview of episode 3 can be found on Spoilers Guide. The episode will air on Friday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS. Episode 4 will air same time on the following Friday, Oct. 14.
