Loyal fans of "Heroes" will be delighted to see Masi Oka reprise his role as Hiro Nakamura in the upcoming "Heroes Reborn" series, which is slated for NBC's Fall 2015 schedule.

NBC confirmed that Oka will return as the lovable space-time manipulator in the revived superhero mini-series, a 13-episode series from "Heroes" creator Tim Kring.

"I'm excited to return to my Heroes roots. Hiro Nakamura was such an inspirational role to play, and I'm hoping the fans will enjoy seeing him back on TV," Oka said in a statement, according to the Entertainment Weekly.

"The character of Hiro Nakamura was such a huge part of the first series' success, and a gigantic fan favorite. We felt the fans would really love seeing him back in action again," Kring said, according to Variety.

Oka will join "Heroes Reborn" cast members Jack Coleman, Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski, and Gatlin Green.

"Heroes Reborn" will premiere in Fall 2015 not only on NBC but also on the network's digital platforms, as well as Hulu and video-on-demand.

Coleman also returns to play the suspicious Jack Bennett, known as the man with the horn-rimmed glasses.

Creator Tim Kring is executive producing the series along with James Middleton and Peter Elkoff. The show is produced by Imperative Entertainment, in association with Universal Television.
