Homeland Season 4 Premiere Date, Cast Spoilers: Premiere Features 2 Episodes
The premiere for Homeland Season 4 will be aired on October 5, Sunday, 9 p.m. at ET/PT. This "special premiere event" will feature two episodes in one night, according to its official trailer.
Aside from the air date of the next season, fans are wondering how things will go this season 4. In recent spoilers and latest news snippets currently out about the new season, it was revealed that the show was filmed in South Africa. The production team has revealed that most of the scenes will be filmed abroad. The official synopsis reads, "Season four will find Carrie Mathison (Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes) assigned to one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East where she is back on the front lines in the war on terror."
Alex Gansa in an interview with Martha Raddatz of The Week said, "One of the ideas that we're really toying around with next year is [to have] Carrie go and do what she was trained to do, and that is be a case officer in a foreign country." Carrie will reportedly be acting as a station chief in Islamabad and Kabul.
Episode 1 of season 4 will not be picking up where it left off in season 3. Rumor has it that there will be a time jump from the time that Carrie has given birth. This makes a lot of sense since fans may not be interested as to what happened as Carrie gave birth and moved to another country.
Other things coming include Carrie and Quinn falling in love, and a new character, Martha Boyd, which will be played by Laila Robins.
