'How to Get Away with Murder' season 3 finale: Wes dead; Alfred Enoch reveals more of his character after the finale
"How to Get Away with Murder" has finally revealed who was the person under the sheet, after the hashtag #UnderTheSheet became a trend in various social media websites. Fans have been speculating for weeks — and now the mysterious person has a name.
The third season of "How to Get Away with Murder" episode 9 is titled "Who's Dead," which basically answers the question of all the fans awaiting the season finale. Viewers saw that Wes Gibbins had faced his demise with his severely burnt body. Actor Alfred Enoch shares about the intentions of his character.
In an interview with TVLine, he was asked if he may possibly be still alive. The actor did not reveal anything but said that Wes may be truly dead. He even said he had to feel already dead while portraying the role.
The tragic loss of Wes has got some fans emotionally affected. "How to Get Away with Murder" fans witnessed Wes go through tough times as his mother committed suicide. And while he finally found his biological father, things got nasty when Wes saw his father take a bullet to his head.
As if the tragedy has not been enough, Wes' girlfriend was killed and he murdered Sam (Tom Verica). In the end, he faced his demise and never succeeded to finish graduate school.
"I think he did find happiness in a way, but that's reality, you're never really out of the woods, are you?" the actor said.
"In life, and certainly not on this show. He'd put himself on track a bit this season. He was with Laurel, and that was so good for him. He was edging closer to that happy ending he was chasing. But he just gets brought down by something from his past — it's very bleak that it ends that way," he added.
Fans saw how Wes was the one under the sheet when Annalise called him and the rest of the group to come to her house. However, only Nate and Laurel came by. After a while, a massive explosion happened.
Laurel was found in the hospital while Nate was seen walking in the forensics room, which points at Wes being the person who was found under the sheet, dead with his half-burned self.
