HTC One M9 Tips and Tricks: How to Optimize Usage of HTC Smartphone

The HTC One M9 has been described as a lovely piece of engineering work and considered one of the best looking flagship smartphones in the market. If you are planning to buy one, here is what you need to know to optimize your usage of this smartphone.

First off, you can customize how your quick settings tiles appear by editing them. To do this, click on the edit icon at the top in the quick settings screen, and then drag and drop each one into a new position. The One M9 also allows you to answer calls by just placing the phone next to your ear. If you do not want to use the setting you can turn it off by going to Settings > Call> and turning of Auto Answer Calls.

If you are in a meeting and forgot to mute your phone, when a call comes in you can just turn the phone over on it screen and the call with mute. You can enable this by navigating to Settings > Sound & Notifications > Flip to Mute and then opt to Mute Always or Mute Once. If you want your device to automatically ring louder when it's in your pocket, you can also do this in the Sound & Notifications menu by selecting Pocket Mode.

The One M9 also comes with many options for themes. Using them you can download a theme and apply it to your phone. Some of these themes also come with customized sounds and these will change how your ringtones and alerts sound on your phone. There is also an option to create a theme from scratch using a photo or image. To set this up, you can navigate to themes and select "Choose home image" to start the process.

You can also customize the fonts used on your device or download new ones by navigating to Settings >Personalize > and choose a pre-existing font. If nothing meets your liking, select "Download New Fonts."

Finally the HTC One M9 allows users to activate the camera for selfies using their voice. To do this, select the camera app and after going to selfie mode, activate the Voice Selfie option and you will be able to take a selfie by saying "Cheese" and even record a video of yourself by saying "action."
