Huawei Honor 8 coming to India; features 5.2-inch display and 12-MP camera
Huawei is all set to release its latest device, the Honor 8, in India. It has already arrived in China, the U.S., and the most recently, Pakistan.
According to reports, Huawei has already sent invitations to the press for its launching of the Honor 8 on Oct. 12. Advertised with the tagline "Eyes to the World," the state-of-the-art mobile phone with enhanced camera technology will be making a lot of buzz in India, despite the brand not being too famous among the locals.
The specs and features of the upcoming smartphone will speak for itself and will spark curiosity among many. As detailed in a report, the Honor 8 sports a 5.2-inch FHD display. Under its hood, it is packed with the company's own octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor paired with a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
Two variants are expected to be introduced. One comes with 3 GB of RAM while the other has 4 GB of RAM. There are also two variants for the phone memory. One model carries 32 GB while the other has 64 GB, which can both be expanded further up to 256 GB via a microSD card.
Moreover, reports said that the device runs with Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with an EMUI 4.1. The handset's highlight though is its capture feature as it comes with a 12-megapixel dual rear camera. It also has a dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Laser AF and 6P lens. In front is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.4 aperture.
A fingerprint sensor can also be found at the rear. The device supports Hybrid Dual SIM, nano and nano/micoSD. It's powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and comes with fast charging technology, the Smart Power 4.0. Huawei claimed that it can charge the phone at 47 percent in just 30 minutes using USB-C port.
The Huawei Honor 8 is noted to be priced at Rs 26,600 or $400 for the 32 GB model and Rs 30,000 or $450 for the 64 GB model.
