As the Indiana Pacers continue their hopes for improvement in the Eastern Conference, they do not have to look far to see where they can pin their hopes on.

Paul George is easily still the team's best player, but with every Batman, there needs to be a suitable Robin, and Myles Turner is now being molded into that type of player.

Hoops Habit claims that the Pacers' future depends on how Turner develops and continues his game.

When he entered the league, many doubted his capacity as a player and he was considered a project by many league analysts.

However, the 20-year-old proved them wrong as he put on solid performances in his first year as a professional.

Turner played 60 total games for the Pacers and finished with a solid 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Helping the Pacers reach the playoffs, Turner put on decent numbers that are close to his average and has given the Pacers fans hope for the future.

Furthermore, Turner was invited to play against Team USA in one of the scrimmages and showed that he belonged in the pro league as he made things difficult for the best players in the country.

Ethan Strauss claimed that Turner had great moments in the game, both on the offensive and defensive ends.

Moreover, senior NBA writer Marc Spears believed that Turner was trying to prove a point as he showed he can compete with the best players in the world.

The coming season may be different, and the changes around the team may affect the Pacers' chances in the regular season.

However, all they need is a great sophomore year for Turner as it is apparent that the 20-year-old is capable of doing big things when he is on the floor.

Add the fact that Turner is still on his rookie contract and is set to earn $2.4 million in the coming year, he can be one of the better bargains.
