'Injustice 2' release date news update 2016: NetherRealm Studio to move March 2017 release date?

Many fans of the first "Injustice: Gods Among Us" game by NetherRealm Studio are patiently waiting for the much awaited game sequel. "Injustice 2" was first announced by the successful game developer company earlier this year and released the first teaser video last June. The initial release date for "Injustice 2" is set in March 2017, although there is a possibility that the date could be changed. For now, the rumors are rife that NetherRealm Studio will not make it for their target March 2017 game release.

According to Yibada, there are a number of issues affecting the current development stage of "Injustice 2." One of these issues is the ongoing strike of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artist. The supposed actors to play a part in "Injustice 2" are said to be affected by this strike, and this is not expected to be resolved as the two groups aim to modify their two decades' worth of contract relationship.

Nevertheless, the fans are still hoping that the strike will not be long enough to move the March 2017 initial release to a later date. There will be a lot of things to look forward to in the upcoming sequel, which make the fans more eager to have "Injustice 2" as soon as possible. News Everyday reported that "Injustice 2" will feature the classic DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Wonderwomen, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beatle, Dead Shot, Atrocitus and Harley Quinn.

One of the new major characters to join the "Injustice 2" roster is the infamous Ra's al Ghul, according to Event Hubs. Ra's has played a very vital role in other DC media, like "The Dark Knight" film series and the DC comic-based TV series "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Arrow." This time around, Ra's might be playing a different role, acting as Batman's ally. Together, the unlikely tandem will plot to bring down the Kryptonian hero, Superman.
