According to the latest rumors, the highly anticipated fighting video game sequel from NetherRealm Studio, "Injustice 2," will arrive in the early months of 2017. Specifically, the different console and gaming platform versions of the "Injustice" sequel are likely to be released in March next year. As for now, more names of popular DC superheroes and villains are being rumored to be included on the roster.

Movie News Guide reported that more characters from the classic DC comic book are going to be in the ever-growing roster of "Injustice 2." Earlier, it was confirmed that Red Hood and Starfire will be among the playable fighters in the sequel. Aside from the two popular DC personalities, Yibada reported that NetherRealm may end up including more heroes and villains in the roster as fans have been requesting a lot of characters to be in the sequel. King Shark, Red Hood, Beast Roy, Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Captain Boomerang, Darkseid, Rorschach, and Jonah Hex are some of the in-demand DC characters that may possibly be included in "Injustice 2."

On the other hand, "Injustice 2" will be featuring new contents that were not present in the first game. It was reported that the sequel will be featuring a loot system that allows users to pick up weapons and costumes after they defeated the enemy. The players can use these items to increase their character's stats, defense and attack levels. They also have the opportunity to improve their weapons and armors to further increase their stats.

NeatherRealm has not yet confirmed the exact release date of "Injustice 2," although the game developer company and game director Ed Boon has been keeping the fans updated with the latest details about the sequel. It is rumored that the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game will be released in March 2017, although the fans need to take these early rumors with a grain of salt.
