iOS 10 jailbreak release date latest news: Jailbreak tool arriving after release of iOS 10.2?

Many were under the impression that the iOS 10 jailbreak tool would finally arrive after Apple introduced iOS 10.2. However, at this time, jailbreak users continue to wait as no tool has been released. If the latest reports are to be believed, the jailbreak version of the iOS 10 isn't expected to arrive anytime soon.

Since the release of the iOS 10 three months ago, Apple has made it extremely difficult for hackers to find loopholes in the security of their operating system (OS). Furthermore, Apple has already released six updates for the current OS. The Cupertino-based tech giant is said to be releasing updates quickly in order to dampen any progress made by jailbreak tool developers in trying to find flaws in the OS.

Back in July, during the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC) in Shanghai, China, Pangu reportedly unveiled a working jailbreak of the iOS 10 beta with the Cydia app running on the latest version of Apple's operating system. However, since then, the famous hacking group has remained silent with no indication if and when they will release the iOS 10 jailbreak tool.

Even though it is assumed that hacker collectives like Pangu and TaiG are having a hard time breaking down Apple's current OS, it has been proven that the iOS 10 is not impenetrable. In November, independent developer Luca Todesco uploaded an image on Twitter which shows the Cydia app running on iOS 10.1. However, Todesco has no plans to release his own jailbreak tool.

It seems that time is running out for hackers as Apple is reportedly already working on iOS 10.2.1. Given that the iOS 10.2 update has yet to address some issues including the 30 percent bug, the next iOS 10 update is expected to arrive soon.

Meanwhile, those waiting for the jailbreak tool are growing impatient as they are unable to take advantage of the new features that iOS 10 brings to Apple's mobile devices. This is because Apple is no longer allowing devices to downgrade its OS. Once users update their devices to iOS 10, they will no longer be able to install the jailbreak version of iOS 10.

With the iOS 10 jailbreak tool not expected to arrive in the near future, Apple users will have to make the decision of whether to continue waiting or just give up and use the official version of the OS.
